We hired a car for 5 days, no problems, nice car except that one of the tyres was illegal but when we got back to the airport they found a small chip on the windscreen ( which must have been there before) and took £500+!! pounds plus admin from our credit card. We did take out extra insurance before we went and have now made a claim.
A really awful experience...they do take before and after photos but...the sun was on the screen...so that it was not visible.
We will never use Hertz again..Beware
When we got home we complained to Hertz head office and they refunded our payment ‘ as a jester of good will’!
